Life seems to be getting in the way of my blogging! LOL! ;) In all seriousness, there is not much time for blogging these days. I thought I would do a quick check in while I had some time.
It seems that my bronchitis that I thought I was over and done with is still with me and I started a new antibiotic yesterday. John and Mason now also have it and started an antibiotic and prescription cough medicine yesterday.
Something has been on my mind as of late........so here goes! I cannot believe the whole Jon and Kate saga.I feel so sorry for the kiddos......there........that's all I'm sayin'.
The markets are going well and so is the harvest. We have really been blessed. We have been enjoying temps in the 70's and 80's and low humidity! It has been so very nice! We are picking blueberries, peaches, nectarines, apples, blackberries, cabbage, watermelons, cantaloupes, tomatoes, peppers, squash and eggplant.
This past weekend was really busy with over 1200 (8 quart) baskets of peaches being picked Friday and Saturday alone. We are seeing increased sales and record days at our indoor roadside market.......praise the Lord for that! After losing all of the orchard crops three years ago, we are still recovering!
We are co-heading a debt free, penny pinching small group from our church starting next month. We are calling it; Living on Manna. I am so very excited a bout it! The other couple M and M had us over to their home home Saturday night and we had a blast! It was so nice to fellowship with such a wonderful couple who loves the Lord like we do!
I see everyone else is busy too, just as us. I am reading and trying to comment here and there but sometimes it just is not possible. I hope to catch up with you soon........it could be a while though; peaches will be in full force through August! :)
Blessings and hugs to ya'll!

Hey Marva,
I am missing your posts a LOT!! However, I am very happy that all is going well for you and your family..You sound very busy...PLEASE make sure you take a few minutes each day just for yourself!
Who are Jon and Kate? xx
It's good to see you. I'm glad your busy because that's money in the pocket, isn't it?
Jon and Kate...well, I can't believe it, either. No, I can believe it; it just makes me sad.
Hasn't the weather been lovely?! It's been one of the coolest Julys we've seen in a long time. We haven't hit 100 yet!
I'm so sorry you're still battling the bronchitis; nasty stuff isn't it? I'll be praying you all recover completely and quickly.
I know what you mean about John and Kate. I honestly thought it was all a play for ratings until the last few weeks. The funny thing is that I've never seen an episode (no TV)... but it's hard to NOT know who John and Kate are! I feel for their little ones, it's got to be a bit confusing for them to say the least.
LOVE the name of your group! What an awesome idea!
SO glad to hear the harvest is going well. I remember from your past posts how it hasn't always been so. God is abundantly blessing you and your family, and I am so happy for you!
I really would love to have your peach salsa recipe. I've searched your blog, but haven't found it listed there yet. I will give you lots of time to get to it though... or at least until my tomatoes are ripe, lol. Honestly, whenever (and if) you get the chance to share it. And maybe you could throw in some free peaches as well..;) I so wish I could come to your roadside stand to shop!
Found it! I think I'll try a couple of your squash recipes as well... Thanks a bunch!!
Glad you're hangin' in there, Marva! Still thinking of you, if not seeing you on the RSS feed. Love and prayers,
Deb
P.S. Jon and Kate...ugh. Media vultures, and children the victims of circumstance. NOT fair.
Marva,
Any word on job for your hubby?
