Monday morning at 2am we were awoke to winds, gravity force winds and the scared the howdy doodies out of us. We had winds at my house over 60 mph. Needless to say, we have roof damage , the boys pool was cracked, there were shutters gone and my nephews' trampoline was demolished. We were without cable and internet for some time as well. Thankfully, we had no trees down, but many neighbors did and power poles were snapped in half. The winds lasted for over 2 hours. It was very frightening. Many were still without power last tonight.
Yesterday we had a full day of Spring cleaning. I am behind in that area. Our spring break ran late this time and my helper has to wait until that week to help me. With 3 year old twins, I need an extra hand or two to help on that BIG day. We stripped all curtains, bedding and decorative towels and washed. I am still ironing and rehanging. All ceilings, walls, baseboards, crown molding, decorative trees, flowers and wall art were cleaned. Furniture was moved and nothing was left untouched.
This morning I am taking the twins and my 10 year old nephew to the zoo, while the carpet is being shampooed at the house. We will be out most of the day and end it with a stop at the ice cream shop and the grocery store. What a day that'll be!
Hubby has been off for a few days due to no work to do. Thankfully there is work today!
I hope to finish my ironing and rehanging curtains tomorrow. I also have a ham to cook and eggs to pickle.
I got every one's goodies off last week. Let me know when you get them. Thanks for the linky love Nikki!
What is on your Tuesday planner? Blessings!!!!!

Glad you're all okay. Sounds a bit like when Ike came through here last fall. Who'd have thought we'd get a hurricane in Ohio?
As for the spring cleaning...you're coming to my house next, right?
I'm spending the day resetting from last week and the weekend. Kids are back in school today and a friend from college is stopping by for coffee. Then I'm sitting in on a score read-thru for our spring concert. Checking out a karate school this evening. Somewhere today I need to squeeze in a grocery trip. *sigh* Never stops, does it? And when I stop, it always seems to catch up with me and run me over!
Have a wonderful day! Happy Easter!
Those winds sounds so scary. Ive been in those winds so I completely understand.
What a fun day you have planned! I love the zoo. Have a great time.
I have nothing planned today. I cleaned the garage yesterday. Took all day but its finally done!
Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry that the weather has been so bad for you this Spring. I hope that all will be better soon.
I'm behind on my Spring cleaning too, oh well ;)
By the way, swing by my blog... I've got a prize for you! Big hugs!
I'm glad you're okay, too. What a mess! When you drop by, you'll see what I'm up to -- NOTHING!
It sounds like you are a cleaning machine!
Even though I hate doing it, cleaning the house makes me feel so good. I always have to get out the extended duster to reach the wood crown molding, but it looks so good when everything is cleaned and sparkling.

Sorry to hear about your roof damage!
We have high wind warnings today here, too. We get the hurricane force winds several times a year. last year one even blew my patio furniture-which is super heavy-clear across the yard. it also ripped the canopy on my kids fort right down the middle. they are scary! Glad you're fine!
Don't you just love spring cleaning?
I have to say that I feel guilty about my weather complaints after reading about all your crazy weather out there. I'm sorry to hear about the damage, but glad that it wasn't any more severe.
I'm afraid our day will sound boring with "just" homeschool, lol. But it's the normal Tuesday routine.
Have a great time at the zoo!
