My very favorite Mother's Day, was my very first one. It was the first time that I heard my son laugh. It was by far the best present ever :)
Great giveaway, Marva! My favorite mother's day memory so far is from last year, because it was my first mother's day as a mom! My husband "helped" my daughter pick out a beautiful necklace with a round white gold pendant that had my daughter's birthstone in it. We went out to brunch with my mother and her parents. We now have four generations of women to celebrate in our family!
take care,
Steph
My Mother's days are usually celebrated with homemade cards and small gifts (which I love) but don't exactly make for super interesting stories:) But I'm looking forward to reading the comments on this, as I didn't grow up with my mother, and I like to read about other people's experiences in this area.
My favorite Mother's Day was two years ago when I was big pregnant with Sarah Beth (her birthday is at the end of the month). I couldn't wait to be a mommy!
No favorite.....just wanted to wish you a Happy Mother's Day. God Bless, Pam, South Bend
My very first Mother's Day was bittersweet, but memorable. My Mom passed away May 2, 1983, just 3 days before her 51st birthday. My daughter was just 2 months old. My husband was so sweet, cooking for me, and picking out a beautuful card. To this day Mother's Day is both happy and sad for me. I will always miss my Mom.
My favorite Mother's Day was my first as a mom. My twins were 8 1/2months old. Just being able to spend that special day with them and my husband made me the happiest mom in the world.
My most memorable Mother's Day was my first as a mother. My mom, grandma, myself and our family went out to church and a crunch.
I think every mother's day is special.... but the most special was mother's day 1997. I was at Potomac Mills mall with hubby -- and we got the call. My son was in a helicopter headed for the hospital after a car accident (new car we had just given him less than 24 hours before) - they found him lying in blood and gasoline in the middle of the road and that was all we knew. I cried and said a prayer, oh Lord, please do not take my son on MOTHERS DAY -- if there is a present in heaven that is for me, can it be his life - as we rushed to the hospital. He survived and it was the greatest present a mother could ever get and one I shall never forget.
I like all Mother's Days because I don't have to do anything. The kids are nice to me and each other all day. Reminds me of Christmas time.
