It's a Rainy One Here Today

I have so much to do today. I have s sitter for the boys, so they can stay in out of the weather. It is raining and cold, not too cold but the rain makes it seem even colder. Here's my to do for the day.

Is It Here Already?

I cannot believe that I go back to work this week! It has really slipped up on me. I will not tell you how unprepared I am. Actually I am prepared,my home is not. Laundry (washing, drying, folding, putting away and ironing) is behind, I still have a few groceries on the counter that need put away from the last grocery trip. My house needs to be tidied and cleaned, the toilets needs swished, the floors need swept and mopped and the blinds need cleaned.

I need to get our spraying (for insects)done inside and we seen an ant here and there, so we need to get some cinnamon put out. Ground cinnamon deters ants. We put it in our window seals.

Most of it will probably stay that way for awhile, as I will be going with the flow. MY kids come first and I do what I can during their one nap a day, but it is HARD!!!! I refuse to get stressed over it, I am doing my best.

Today I am going to try and get a few things done, call speech therapist, call A.K., email C.B., make appt. for Monkey w/ Dr. B. and find someone to print a sign for the newest market. I also need to get some things ready to mail, as well as cut and organize coupons.

Tomorrow, the mother's helper and I are taking the boys to the zoo and going to CVS, Aldi and a couple of other places. I also need to pick up Father's Day gifts. CVS has an awesome deal on Huggies this week. Their jumbos are $7.99. I also got in on the Pampers deal last week. I think I got 10 packs of diapers and 5 packs of training pants. i am trying to get stocked up, not just on diapers. It is so hard to get to the store in the summer with the busy schedule.

Wednesday the boys have speech therapy. I also start back to work (at the roadside market) the same day. This week I will work Wednesday-Saturday 7am-5pm, except Thursday and I have to be home at 2:30pm to let my Mother's Helper go to class.

Sunday is church and then I will work 1pm-7pm. Also have got to find time to get things prepared for Father's Day meal and make the menu out. I do know we are having homemade peach ice cream.

For tonight's supper I am planning on a veggie supper. Green beans, corn, squash, potato salad, fresh tomatoes and fresh vidalia's, as well as cornbread salad and fried green tomatoes. We still have leftover apple pie from last night's supper.

Busy Busy Friday and Saturday

Today and tomorrow look quite busy. I have a Mother's helper coming tomorrow. The boys will be so excited to see her! Hubby is going to try and work, but it is not looking promising.
So I may have another helper?!

Today I need to get the laundry finished. I have a crowd coming for supper tonight. Lots to do there. make the beds, unload and reload the dw, clean out both fridges, price yard sale stuff, some ironing, wash off the front porch (it is still yellow from all of the pollen) and cook, cook, cook!

On the menu for tonight is:
Hamburger steaks with gravy and onions
fried okra
cream style corn
fried green tomatoes
butter peas
corn bread
iced sweet tea
fresh peach cobbler

all of the veggies are from the garden and last year (I froze them)

Tomorrow looks even busier......
put angel food away (my friend is going to pick it up) (10 minutes)
work in outside building (clean and organize) (2 hours)
plant flowers and plants (1 hour)
pull weeds around and spray (20 minutes)
finish all ironing (1 hour)
can 2 batches of peach salsa (1 hour)
can one batch of grape jelly (30 minutes)
can cauliflower pickles (1 hour)
wash and clean out the SUV (1 hour)
get Hubby to go through his clothes for the yard sale (10 minutes)
finish pricing all yard sale stuff (1 hour)

Okay, so maybe Hubby can help!!! Wow, that's a lot to do! I may have to let a few of those things go until later. We'll see! The helper will be here from 8am-4pm.

Long Day

UPDATE: The hospital just called and we have to be there at 6:00am.

So far it has been a very looonnnggggg day! Nothing really out of the ordinary. I think I am just dreading tomorrow and all that it will hold. I am also still waiting on the hospital to call with Monkey's sugery time (for tomorrow). I know it will be early and we are an hour's drive from the hospital so that makes for a really early morning. They will repair the hernia and or hydrocele as well as revise his circumcision. I wish it could be me to take his pain. Please say a prayer for my sweet little miracle.

Tiger will spend the night at my parents tonight and stay tomorrow. They will bring him home after we get back and all settled in.

Hubby has got to take his pick-up back to the shop for another repair this afternoon. They will work on it tomorrow. If you remember 3 or 4 weeks ago we had it serviced and tuned it and that was about $200. Then 2 weeks ago we had the transmission repaired and that was $900. The fuel pump and labor will run between $300 and $400. Thankfully we own it outright!!! Praise the Lord!!

Slight Change of Plans

First of all please pray for all of those effected by the terrible tornados and weather last night and this morning. So many lost everything, including loved ones.

Well...........let's just say not going as planned. Last night I started thinking about Mason's surgery and I got really upset. The bad weather on it's way did not help my feelings any either. I finally got to sleep around 11:30pm and hubby had set the clock for midnight (to check on the weather). I had a full blown migraine by then. I took a Relpax and laid back down, only to hear Tiger coughing. I got up and realized it was time for more prescription cough medicine so I gave them each some (as Monkey was also starting to cough by then). Finally.......sleep! Until 4:18 am when the weather radip sounded. _ _ _ _ _ County is under a tornado warning!!!!!! Hubby usually gets up to leave for work at 4:20am so he told me to get things together (took all of 3 minutes and got in the Durango) and he would follow us over to my parents "for safekeeping". My parents have a basement and we do not. So the boys and I hung out over there until 7:45am and then came back home. I put the boys down to finish out their nightly sleep (which had actually more of a morning nap). I then laid down. I took a 2 hour siesta!!! Yay for me. Got up, grabbed a quick shower, got ready and by then the boys were up. Got them up and changed (it's a pj day) and they fed themselves breakfast and now they are playing. My Mom is going to watch them while I run my errands but hardly any of the other things on my list have even been touched. So I am revamping and hoping to get it all accomplished by the time the Speech Therapist arrives tomorrow morning.

Today's Agenda

This morning hubby is going for a job interview.
He will have to be back by 10 to keep the boys, while I go to the accountant.
We've got to then go to the post office and bank, as well as Dollar General and the local Piggly Wiggly. The boys also need all 40 toenails and fingernails clipped and to be bathed.
I've got to get ready and start laundry in the meantime.
After lunch he will head on to the hospital and I will stay home until 3. Then I will go get the sitter from school. She will stay with the boys until 9 tonight while I go join hubby at the hospital.
So, all in all.......... well, I just want to stay home!!!!!!!! Things must be done and my mil saw to. It will be a another hectic day. I've got so many more things I need to do here as well. Like balance the checkbook, download some new software for my business. Ironing (enough for a good 3 hours). Get stuff ready for in the am (I take my Dad at 7 to meet with the eye surgeon). Change the bed linens. All of that kind of stuff. It is just stuff and will still be awaiting my arrival later.

Late Start

Today I am playing catch up. I did not wake up until after 7:30 this morning. the bad thing is that I was having the most awful dream (or should I say nightmare)! Anyhow, it looks like a busy one today, as I did not get everything done yesterday. The snow is completely melted and the roads look almost dry! There was not even enough to get out and make a snowball. I would have loved to had a good ole fashioned snowball fight with hubby!

Today list goes something like this:

Wintry Mix!!!???!!!

What's up with that? I live in Alabama for crying out loud! The weathermen are giving a 70% chance of a wintry mix today with the high of 38. No ice I hope! We cannot even drive in snow down here much less ice!

I'm not sure if it's the weather or what, but I have NO energy. I just want to go back to bed and stay.

make myself presentable (yes, I know it's 10am)

Happy Saturday!

Today is proving to be an early one already. The boys decided that 4:30 (yes, a.m.) was the best time to wake Mommy this morning. Evidently, their need for Cheerios overrode my desire for some shuteye. What a blessed Mommy I am! ;)

Today I need to go to the post office, CVS, Dollar General, the local pharmacy and Wal-Mart. I also need to fix an early supper so that I might attend a wedding reception at 4:00p.M. I am kind of undecided on that one though.

Today/tonight is a serious overlook at the 2008 budget.

The boys (all but the hubby seems to feel much better this morning. I am going in to tell hubby that the boys think the best well to get well is to get up with the chickens! I'm sure he wil appreciate the humor! ;) NOT! He skipped a deer hunting trip because he felt so bad. He must really feel bad in order to do that.

Sunday's To-Do

Well I am at home from church today with the boys. They are still cranky!!! It is cold and rainy out too.
I need to get the house in order and a couple of loads of laundry done. I also need to think about supper and get our clothes ready for the funeral home tonight.
My great uncle passed away Friday night and will be out for viewing tonight. We have a sitter coming for a couple of hours for that.
I also need to get to work on my new 2008 budget, to - do lists, cleaning schedules, ect. My Christmas stuff is still scattered around decorating my home and oh so badly needs to find it's home again in the closet. The house also needs a good deep cleaning. I also need to get my menu planner done. Taking stock of our freezer and pantry inventory should help in that area.

Whew!

I am one tired puppy today. I had a mother's helper here for about 6 hours today. It's a good thing too. Here's what I got accomplished:

Canned 26 jars of pepper jelly
Went to P.O. and ran errands
Finshed my need to buy for Christmas list
Wrapped about 30 presents
Made bed
changed both crib linens
Balanced checkbook
Did email stuff and printed several sheets of labels for mix business
Cleaned out suv
Called Amazon (getting some toys ready to return - broken in shipping)
Made breakfast and lunch.

That's all for now.

I have got to get supper cooked, boys bathed, do my CVS/groc. list & compile coupons, do the same for Saturday's Christmas shopping trip, unload and reload dw, call B.J., check dh's paystub, call B.H., fill out the last of the Christmas cards and post some recipes. (Spend time w/ hubby).
