Real Friends

You know my Mom always told me you could count the real number of friends you had on one hand. Computers were not around then........cause I have such awesome bloggy friends! (No disrespect Mom!)

Thank you all for your thoughts and sharing with me. My hubby and I have had a lonnnnggggg road. I will not air our laundry here but some of you know. I have been hurt deeply and trust has been broken in too many ways to count. I love my husband and I intend to do my Christian duty and keep it together because he loves me too. The last months have taken a toll.......long hours, surgery, sick children, therapies, his Mom's illness and death and now my Daddy's condition (did he have a stroke or does he have a brain tumor?). We have talked and he is trying to "get it", while I have patience and we find some time together soon. Our 10 year anniversary is coming up in a few weeks and we are spending it together (at least the day after). Something else that has NOT helped in missing a couple of Sunday's at church. I always feel like a cloud looms when I do not have the worship and fellowship that my spirit so craves.

So thank you all again and I have stroked his ego with kind words and praise!

Today I worked my 10 hour shift, came home cooked supper and went and picked up the boys. Fed the boys, gave bathes did bedtime routines and now I am finishing (canning) a huge pot of pear preserves. Hubby took my Daddy to my oldest nephew's football game in another county.

Hubby and I share market duties tomorrow as well as children duties. I have a few errands I need to run as well. I have started getting in the Christmas mind set and already have a few gifts purchased. We also are on a strict budget this month and next. So, I will be doing a LOT of cooking around here.

Hope you had a great Friday and Roll Tide tomorrow!

Blessings!

Marva, I am so happy that things are working out a little better with your hubby, I don't know any details about the past between you, but I always have believed that it's better to live for today and to hope for the future. Stay strong and give your babies extra kisses.
Sending hugs and prayers,
Mimi

I'm one of those who doesn't know the details, but I do know that marriage takes an incredible amount of work, and can test you in many ways. So whatever you're going through, I'll pray that God will help mend the broken trust and give you the strength to work through it. Your love for your husband and sons is very evident here, and one of the reasons I come to visit. Take care Marva.
