Correction!

I have received a couple of negative emails about having a cleaning lady. So, I just wanted to straighten this out for those of you that think I "cannot afford anything" and I hire a cleaning lady and "take milk from my children's mouths"! We choose a frugal lifestyle for a reason. I do not go to the salon every week or even every month. I do my own manicures and pedicures as needed. Having a clean home is my gift to myself!

First and foremost my "cleaning lady" is my bff C.T. We have been friends for over 12 years now. She comes every 2-3 weeks to do heavy cleaning that I cannot do while I have 2 year old twins......boys at that under my feet. I know there is one of you that does not have children and does not understand......so be it.

This is really none of your business.......BUT to help you better understand the fact that "I do not take milk from my children's mouths".........

Usually her payment is more of a barter. Fresh fruits, some veggies, canned goods, meals, mixes. It depends on what I have on hand and what she wants. Sometimes I pay here cash or check or a combination.

FEAR NOT! My children are not doing without.......anything! We cut a lot of corner's but our bills are paid. We owe not much to anyone....some dental expenses and that is all. We sacrifice a lot so I can be home with the boys and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I am so blessed!

I hope you are as blessed this Christmas season!

I remember last time you mentioned a cleaning lady you had negative comments too. People are just jealous, Marva. And if someone commented who doesnt have kids then they are talking out of their hat. They have no idea how hard it is to raise kids and keep the house clean. Besides that you have those mixes you do for a business and all the summer work on the farm. People need to mind their own business. I would not defend myself in any way. In fact it makes me so mad they would judge you, that I feel like sending you a monthly check so you can have two cleaning ladies! There that would frost their hides!

I am with Mrs. Darling . . . two cleaning ladies!!! Marva, I learned a long time ago that people seem to want to voice their opinion about EVERYTHING - regardless of the fact that they don't have a clue! I think it is wonderful that you have someone to help you out. As much as you have to do throughout the year, I cannot figure out when you would get anything in extra.

The fact that you have someone it clean is NONYA to everyone else. What is NONYA - NONYA is to be directed to those who pry or otherwise voice their opinion about something that doesn't concern them. . . . NONYA = NONE OF YA BUSINESS! Feel free to use NONYA anytime you need to dear friend.

It's so hard for me to understand why someone would send emails like that to anyone. Even if what you do isn't to their liking, WHY should you listen to them? Very strange indeed.

They do realize that you live on a large farm, and thus probably never have to worry about your children going hungry? I think food is mentioned more on your blog than any other blog I visit,LoL. Which really makes me hungry sometimes...;) Sorry you have people butting in where they shouldn't.

Good for you... maybe I should get one too. Then maybe the house would be clean sometimes. :)

Just who the heck do people think they are anyway. I would be so happy to be able to get a cleaning lady. Good for you for doing something for yourself. And those who don't like it can just take a hike.

I can't imagine that anyone would think they had the right to question you that way, Marva!

Hugs to you,
