I Made It

Well, another visit (to the dentist) down and too many more to count needed. I thought forsure a couple more in the next 2 or 3 weeks would get it. WRONG!!! Maybe 6 or 8 visits in the next 3 months. I knew my dental work was going to be a lot out of pocket but not several THOUSAND dollars. I was guessing about $4000 all total over the next 6 months or so. Try about $7500 or so over the next 3 months. We don't have that kind of money!

Remember we do not use credit. After this week we will be depending on hubby's paycheck alone, as my work has ended until May. I do not usually help with the winter and spring work in the orchards.

We also got a letter in the mail last week from hubby's company stating that they will be holding two weeks instead of one week's pay back effect the first week in November (next week), in order to keep their doors open. At least he still has a job.

My teeth are in awful condition, combined with the gum disease, it is pretty bad. God is so good though. My parents are going to be able to help with some of the cost. Thank you Momma and Daddy!

Now, in the meantime I will be dealing with a lot of pain. I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Blessings!!!!

OOOH! Tylenol for you, dearest, and a cup of chamomile tea! We'll pray for you and your family...times are tough where we are, too. There were just some cuts made where DH works, too. It's making us a little nervous. But as you say, God is good! So I'm off to bed, and tomorrow off to my (new) night job...just to speed up the debt reduction and take a little pressure off of DH.

Hugs and prayers,
Deb

Marva you hang in there! Your Mom and Dad sound awesome!

How is your Dad doing?

Can a company just hold back two weeks pay like that? Wow

Oh, Marva, I will be praying for you. How awful! I cannot imagine having to have that much work done on my mouth, and then to have to pay that much for it.

Thanks Julie! They are so awesome! I love my parents like nobody's business! They are my heart (besides hubs and the boys). We are a close knit family!

Yes, hubs job can do that unforunately. I forgot the actual wording they used in the letter, but it was up to code.

God is good and we will be fine.

Thanks for the prayers!

How is the addition coming?

No news on the melanoma yet. We hope they got it all. They really put a dent in his face. Bless his heart.

We take him back to see the neurosurgeon the 18th of next month...to see if there is any change to the spot on his brain.

Blessings!!!!!

Thanks Nikki! It is so hard to think of all the $$$$$ going into my mouth. It kind of leaves a bad taste.

I have to say that even though we do have Dental insurance, we use it at a minimum because of the co-pays. It's just so expensive for any treatment beyond a filling or cleaning. I'll be praying for you about this; when you're in that much pain it HAS TO be taken care of. I wonder if the tooth infections have caused some of the other sickness you have had? Once when I had a bad tooth infection someone told me a combination of Tylenol (which I never use) and something else that absolutely did an amazing job on the pain, as good as Vicoden in fact. I'll see if I can find out the combination again. Take care friend.
