Update on Monkey's Health

We went to see the pediatric surgeon yesterday for Monkey. They are going to do exploratory surgery to see what is causing the swelling. I just want him well! So, I have to call this morning to set that up. If the swelling were constant they would say it was the same thing more than likely. This time they will go through his belly button. They warned us that they may have to make another incision depending on what they find. He seems still to be in NO pain. Praise the Lord!

Please pray!

Our prayer is that they swelling will go away and stay away and nothing (surgery)will be necessary.

If the Lord sees that not is not the way to go then we pray that it is something very minuscule and can be corrected/repaired with ease and he will not have problems in the future.

I am hanging on the hope that it is not a life long issue. I refuse to say the "c" word!

I know God is good and I know that he will take care of our baby. How is choses to do that is hard to deal with sometimes. Please pray for our strength during this time.

Blessings!!!

Oh, how awful for him! I am certainly praying for him and you to go through this. My step mother's brother is in his 50's and is retarded. He has a lot of food and other allergies. Last year he was hospitalized 3 times b/c he had swelling. They ran all kinds of tests and never found out the cause. They just kept him on IVs with different meds until it went down. Just maybe Monkey's problems have something to do with an allergy also??? I know it is so strange and worries you.

Thanks for the ham roll recipe. I am getting excited- I LOVE to plan parties. I am also having a little freak out moment. I will be 40 in August and not at all feeling negative about being "middle aged" or anything. But, to let it sink in that your baby it graduating and to think of where I was at her age and how she is almost an adult- that is freakish.

Marva, your positive attitude is amazing. I know you probably don't always feel that way deep down, but you are such a good testimony with your words of trust in God. Just wanted to tell you that.

We will continue to pray for your little guy. Take care.
