Getting Down to Business

Today has been quite a day already. What am I saying this week has been plain crazy?!

Hubby was off on Wednesday (not by choice.....but because there was no work for him), so we decided since we have a pass to the zoo we would go. The boys had a wonderful time and we enjoyed getting out and a bout with them. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! The boys favorite part of the zoo is the train, so we had to ride it. They had a blast. then we were off to eat lunch......it was yummy as well, although the prices were steep. I always have brought our lunch and we would make use of the picnic area. We will be doing that anytime when we come back from now on.

After the zoo the boys got their flu vaccinations and saw Dr. H. Tiger has eczema. It is on his chin and cheek and upper lip. We got the prescription filled and changed his moisturizer. He nor Monkey can use regular baby lotion any more.........so I may be doing a baby item giveaway here before long. thankfully the boys are old enough for the Flu mist and did NOT have to get shots!YAY!

Hubby worked yesterday but got bad news about his job. We are praying about things, please be in prayer with us. I will post about this at a later time. The boys and I hung out at home and played.......ALLLLLLLLL day!

Today hubby had a doctor's appointment and with his work, if you cannot work all day then you don't work at all. They do not have personal or sick days either. So, he was at home earlier with the boys while I went to the post office and to the store. Now, he is at the doctor and trying to get his radio (for the big rig) fixed. He is going to a play off high school game tonight and i suppose i will stay home with the boys since it is raining.

I have unloaded the dw, loaded the dw, cleaned out both fridges, done 2 loads of laundry, cooked breakfast, got myself ready and showered, made sweet tea, made muffins and cookies, laid out meat to thaw for supper, made the bed and cleaned the kitchen.

I need to use the Delphin and clean all of the carpet. Our machine is kind of like a Rainbow vac. It is awesome! I also need to get supper done and make a broccoli salad for my parents and make a couple of calls when hubby returns home. I think the list is never ending.......... There is plenty more i could add, but it will keep until later.

I think I might start my Christmas cards tonight. We send out a lot of Christmas cards. Sometimes with such big families this is our only form of communication......sad I know. I am the youngest of 36 grandchildren, just on my Daddy's side. Hubby comes from a big family too.

Well, I need to get busy before the kiddos wake up........have a blessed Friday!

One more thing.......please think about this question. What does contentment mean to you?

I will be asking you to comment on that in the near future and there will be a giveaway as well! I hope you are as excited as I am!

Blessings!!!!!

I think the company your hubs works for is stinky! Shame on them!
I think we are going to see a lot of stinky companies in the next year or two.

I hope you all had a great time at the zoo.

Sorry to hear about the eczema. I have three kids that have it - it isn't easy to control. Make sure to double rinse your laundry - the laundry soap could irritate eczema prone skin. Also . . . dairy and citrus. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! Did your doc prescribe elidel??? Our pediatrician was reluctant to prescribe elidel. I found a few items that work very well. If you are interested, let me know.

Hugs Dear Friend

I was wondering which game your husband is going to. My son is playing in the Bob Jones vs a school in Oxford. I was not thinking this was near you but thought I would mention it. He is number 74 but being a 10th grader will probably stand on the sidelines since it is a play off game.

I am hoping your news is not as bad as I am thinking.

Hi Southerner! We went to the Birmingham Zoo. We have a year's pass (2 adults and up to 4 kiddos), it is tax deductible and you can even go some dutin their Christmas thing (Zoolight Safari). It is so cool!

No, not that game. They went to see Susan Moore and Pleasant Valley.

The news stinks royally. They are more or less trying to force my husband to take another position in the company by taking his truck away, among other things. He has not lost his job yet.......

Many blessings!!!

Hi Julie! Yes, I agree....real stinky! Nope on the meds. Just some cortisone cream and aquaphor. Monkey does not have it, but his skin is super dry.

Well, yes I'm open for suggestions! Especially from a greeat momma like you that is already dealing with it herself!

Thanks Julie! You're great!

Blessings!

Hello Marva:) The zoo this time of years sounds so fun. I only go to ours in the Spring and Summer because of all the rain.

I hope things get better all around; and I'm glad you're hubby isn't losing his job. We're waiting for a lay-off list to come out right now to see if my hubby's name is on it. Whatever the outcome, God is definitely still in control. But I still have my preferences;) Take care.
