Rain, Rain Go Away!

MORE UPDATE......OPUR COUNTY SCHOOLS AS WELL AS SOME OTHER COUNTIES HAVE CLOSED EARLY. SOME ROADS ARE ALREADY UNDER WATER. THE RIVER IS BEHIND OUR HOUSE AND YOU CAN HEAR IT INSIDE THE HOUSE. WE ARE SAFE BUT IT IS FRIGHTENING. BLESSINGS!

UPDATED!!!!!!
MAKE THAT OVER 7 INCHES SINCE MIDNIGHT, WE HAVE STARTED FLOOD STAGES NOW....PLEASE PRAY.

Yes, in a few months when the humidity is about to burn us up at the core of our being and the land is ravaged with drought we will be praying for this abundance of wet, but after 16 of the last 24 days of rain and just 3 inches since midnight I am ready for a break.

Thankfully, I live in the South cause if I lived in Oregeon with some of my dear bloggy friends I would go insane, in all of the wet stuff. No offense to you ladies.

I got to Wal-Mart yesterday for my Mom and found some sweet deals! Separate post about them.

I also wanted to let you know that I am usually in such a hurry that I just use my spell check and it is not working, so excuse any mispellings. I am a good speller but always in a hurry.

Someone asked why I don't post many pictures. It takes forreevvveeerrrrr with blogger. How do ya'll do it? Is there another program or something else I can try? Just curious.

We are home and organizing today. I also plan on sending off some cards and rebates too. I need to strip the boys beds, as that was not done yesterday. I also have some laundry to finish up. My coupons are in desperate need of being clipped and organized too.

Plenty to do and four extra litle hands to help. I am one blessed Momma! Well, we are having a pj today, but I need to brush my teeth and wash my face before breakfast (fresh baked spiral ham and buttermilk waffles, with maple syrup).

I hope to get a few posts up about Angel Food, some recipes and my deals (as well as January's spending).

Did i mention we think we have a water leak somewhere. Our bill was over $50 this past month. usually it is considered high at $39. Maybe the rain will stop so hubby can get under the house and then start digging if necessary. I hope he doesn't have to, there is 626 feet of line from the house to the meter. We'll see, I suppose.

Have a great day and blessings!

At least you're getting some rain for those cloudy days! We are just having the cloud with no (or very little rain). I like rainy days, to a point, but I hate dark, overcast ones when there is no rain.

What kind of internet do you have? I cannot imagine how long it would take to upload pictures if you have dial-up. It literally took almost ten minutes to upload pictures at our old house where we had satellite. Now that we have cable, it only takes about ten seconds. Very nice! And that's why I have started posting more pictures.

Hi Nikki, we are flooding now, over 7 inches since midnight.

We have high speed at least that's what they call it, it is slow for high speed in my opinion. It is through our local phone company and it's about all we can get here.

I am also taking my laptop to the doc next week, to see if he can speed it up a little.

Blessings and I will send this rain your way!;)

Yes, it will be nice to see the sun again Ashley!

Where did your blog go? I went to read and it said you have 0 blogs. Your profile came up and what you follow, but that was all.

Blessings!

HEY MARVA,

No offense taken my dear Marva! That is why it is so green here :) Seriously though, it really doesn't rain quite as much as people think, but yes, we do get our fair share of the wet stuff. It is worse on the coast though, my dh and I lived on the North Oregon coast for 2 years while he was finishing up his Coast Guard duties. I would be so depressed because it would be 65 and cloudy in the middle of summer and 85 and sunny in Portland 1 1/2 hours away! Hope you all are safe and sound.....Ellie

We do get a lot of rain, and it IS maddening at times. But it's more of a steady rain than the flooding downpours. Yours sounds quite severe, and a bit scary.

Now I feel SO bad for mentioning the shins (although I still chuckle when I think of it:). Mrs.D misspells all the time, and she's the best English teacher around. So obviously it has a lot to do with typing fast and being short on time. Hope she doesn't mind my using her as an object lesson, lol.

When I had dial-up it was a huge pain to load up pictures. We have high-speed now, but it has to be the slowest high-speed around. But I don't have any trouble with loading pictures. Mrs.D might know how to get around that.

Praying that the rains subside. Take care.
