Christmas Morning Pecan Waffles

1 3/4 c. flour
1 T. sugar
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
2 c. buttermilk
1/3 c. veg. oil
2 lg. eggs
3/4 c. chopped pecans

  1. Preheat waffle iron.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and soda. Add buttermilk, oil and eggs. Beat until smooth. Stir in the pecans.

Pour the batter into the center of the waffle iron until it spreads to 1 inch from the edges. About 1 cup pf batter per batch. Cook according to wafflemaker's instructions.

Serve with your favorite syrup. (And fruit)
