Ordering Seeds Online

Here are a few sites that we have used or currently use for veggies and flowers. There is also one for herbs. Here are the links.

http://www.cooksgarden.com/ (herbs)
http://www.jacksonandperkins.com/ (roses)
http://www.burpee.com/ (vegetables)
http://www.highcountrygardens.com/ (wildflowers)
http://www.seedsofchange.com/ (organic seeds) a.k.a. heirloom

I really recommend checking with your local extension office before starting a garden if you have never planted one before. They have all types of tips and info. They can tell you what, when and how to plant. Most counties also have Master Gardener associations that will help you get started. There is also this link (http://www.garden.org/) to the National Gardening Association. They will send you emails with info for your specific area. The emails contain valuable advice, techniques and recommendations from the experts.

I will post more about gardening and our farm as the season progresses. If I can help anyone or anyone has any questions please feel free to email me at blessedfrugalness@hotmail.com or leave a comment! Blessings!!!!!!

Great post! I'm thinking about starting my garden soon, and we'll see how it goes. I'll be planting Okra, Bell Peppers, and Strawberries, and maybe a few more veggies.

Thank you for the offer of the coupons, I hope they show up in the near future but if not I will just start from tomorrows paper. You are such a sweet encourager. I am glad you are feeling better- we are also slowly recovering. I am ready to really get my diet on track monday. God bless. Southerner

I have a bunch of seeds and two starter greenhouse trays, but have not started the seeds yet. I am watching my yard and don't really have a good sunlit place. I am going to use a bed that currently has ivy in it and see what grows and also plant some tomatoes in containers. I bought okra, yellow squash, zucchini, peas, green beans, tomatoes, green peppers, jalapeno, corn, carrots, spinach, lettuce, and strawberries in a special container. I also bought a water lilly to put in our Koi pond. Someone offered us 3 Koi from their pond, we don't have any now.
